Pink Now is an initiative started by Live the Life to support those who are battling breast cancer. Our mission for Pink Now: Turn each story into a story of victory. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 40,000 women die from breast cancer each year. This disease affects everyone. Even if you aren’t personally diagnosed, you know someone who is or was. Everyone has their own story to tell, some of victory and some of defeat. Live the Life started the Pink Now initiative to support those who are battling breast cancer and to help turn everyone’s story into a story of victory. Proceeds from all the products in the Pink Now line will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation. The Susan G. Komen foundation is the leading supporter of breast cancer research in the world.
PINK NOW – KOMEN 3-DAY FOR THE CURE
On October 21-23, 2011, in Atlanta, GA, two of the Live the Life team members will participate in the Komen 3-Day for the Cure. This is a 3 day, 60 mile walk to raise money for breast cancer research. In order to participate in the walk they have to raise 5,000. All of which will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation, all of which will make a difference in someone’s life and all of which will bring us that much closer to a cure.
